IV Chelation Therapy

Price: $3000 for 12 treatments

Chelation (pronounced “key-lay-shun”) is a highly effective treatment for clearing heavy metals, excess calcium, and artery-damaging chemicals from the bloodstream. Although it was first used to treat heavy metal poisoning, chelation has since proven valuable for the treatment of heart disease and other circulatory disorders.

Reclaim your health, rid your body of dangerous toxins & feel great with IV Chelation Therapy.

Heavy metal toxicity is a serious health hazard that is growing at an increasing rate, affecting nearly everyone. Heavy metals, like mercury and lead, are spread throughout and deposited into some of the most vital parts of our bodies: the brain, gut and arteries. If you are not healthy and happy, it could be due to high heavy metal toxicity.

Though heavy metals can cause significant symptoms, this diagnosis is nearly always overlooked by general physicians. As we age, we accumulate heavy metals in our tissue – resulting in negative effects to our health.

Symptoms of Heavy Metal Poisoning

Symptoms related to heavy metal poisoning are often related to area of the body most affected:

Your Brain

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Mood swings

Your Gut

  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhea

Your Arteries

  • Build up of hard plaque in the arteries of your heart

IV Chelation Therapy at Agenixs

Toxicity Testing & Consultation

Your therapy begins with a consultation with one of our physicians. Heavy metals can be tested through blood, however blood samples are notoriously ineffective for chronic heavy metal detection.

We recommend a 6-hour urine testing using an oral chelation agent. Over this 6-hour period the heavy metals in your body concentrate in your urine, allowing us to detect their levels in a urine sample. This method often shows toxicity levels that blood samples miss.

Your consultation includes testing of:

  • Urine for heavy metals (unless patient has already been tested elsewhere)
  • Mineral levels
  • Kidney functions

These tests ensure that your therapy is as safe and effective as possible.

The Intravenous Chelation Treatments

We recommend IV Chelation Therapy twice a week for 6 weeks, here’s what you should know:

  • Each appointment is approximately 1 hour, depending on the client’s tolerance to the therapy.  The more toxic the patient, the longer the treatment may take.
  • 6 weeks too stringent of a timeline? We can easily space out the treatments to accommodate your availability.
  • Most patients tolerate treatment very well, however many experience a bit of fatigue due to the expulsion of heavy metals and some essential minerals.
  • We give our patients multi-minerals to take between therapies, to return those essential minerals to the body.
  • We recommend that patients get retested no sooner than 3 months after IV Chelation Therapy so as to allow the body to return to a balanced state.

The Problem with Heavy Metal Toxicity

The World Health Organization, along with other international bodies, have done extensive research on heavy metals and the effects they have on the human body. These studies have shown that heavy metals interfere with enzyme reactions, cause damage to membranes and block nerve transmissions.

You may be surprised to find that in the City of Chicago alone, over 20% of water fountains in parks and field-houses tested positive for high levels of lead! This is a huge problem that affects thousands of people, many of whom go undiagnosed though they show clear symptoms.

Typical Heavy Metal Toxins

Mercury, lead, arsenic and cadmium are among the most commonly associated with human poisoning. These poisons can be found in a variety of places, including:

  • Air or water pollution (especially in big cities)
  • Industrial exposure
  • Foods
  • Medicines
  • Improperly coated food containers
  • The ingestion of lead paint

Chelation for Heavy Metals

Though certain foods (Spirulina, Chlorella, Atlantic Dulce, Young Barley, Wildflowers and Ginger) can be used to remove heavy metals, this process is not only slow and arduous, and relatively ineffective when patients are exhibiting symptoms.

From years of experience, we know that the quickest and most efficient method of toxic heavy metal removal from the body is IV Chelation Therapy.

Chelation with EDTA and DMPS

Oral chelation using EDTA (Ethylene Diamine Tetra Acetate) has proven benefits—and we offer oral chelation therapy for patients who request it—but we have found that intravenous Chelation Therapy using both EDTA and DMPS (Dimercaptopropane – Sulfonate) has the quickest and greatest ability to help your body reestablish good brain, gut and heart health. EDTA and DMPS are chelation salts that grab hold of heavy metals, removing its grip on the calcium the metal has attached to and then the metal is passed through urine. DMPS is more effective on brain detoxification, we also use Glutathione in our therapies. As a critical component for the body’s ability to detoxify, intravenous Glutathione paired with IV Chelation produces the highest results.

Other Conditions Benefitting from Chelation Therapy

  • Cardiovascular disease
  • Cerebrovascular disease
  • Diabetic complications
  • Detoxification Therapies / Heavy Metals
  • Hypertension
  • Intermittent claudication
  • Memory disorders
  • Peripheral neuropathy
  • Peripheral vascular disease
  • Slow-healing wounds

Testosterone Therapy

Men need testosterone to live well—not just for optimal mental and physical health, but to prevent chronic illnesses. With years of experience evaluating and treating low T, Dr. Savage customizes each treatment, using testosterone pellets or injections to optimize effective and safe improvements in health, energy, stamina, sex drive, and performance.

Testosterone Pellets

Testosterone pellets are the only method of testosterone therapy that delivers consistent, physiologic levels of testosterone, thus avoiding fluctuations in hormone levels—and in mood and energy—that can be caused by other methods of delivery. Lasting from four to six months, pellets are the most effective, safest, and convenient form of testosterone replacement.

How Pellets Work
Each Tic-Tac-sized pellet contains crystalline testosterone. During a brief and painless in-office procedure, pellets are implanted under the skin in the upper buttock area. The incision is so small it can be closed with a piece of tape. Once implanted, the pellets deliver a stable, steady dose of testosterone.

Proven Results
Studies show that pellets are the superior form of testosterone replacement therapy in increasing lean body mass—muscle strength and bone density—and decreasing fat mass; and in improving libido, sexual response, and performance. Proven benefits include increased strength, coordination and physical performance, and improvement in concentration and memory. The change starts within days. There is more data to support the use of pellets than any other method of testosterone therapy.

Injected into the thigh, glute, or deltoid muscles, testosterone is absorbed directly into the bloodstream. One advantage of injections is flexibility—dosages can be changed with each injection, if necessary, to achieve optimal concentrations. Administered weekly, biweekly, or bi-monthly, testosterone injections can boost energy, sex drive, and quality of erections; increase lean muscle mass; decrease body fat; boost memory and concentration; and relieve anxiety and depression.

Testosterone Therapy: Safe and Effective

What You Should Know
  • Low testosterone is a well-established medical condition that negatively affects male sexuality, reproduction, general health, and quality of life.
  • Symptoms and signs of low testosterone occur as a result of low levels of testosterone and may benefit from treatment, regardless of whether there is an identified underlying origin.
  • Testosterone therapy for men with low testosterone is effective and evidence-based.
  • There is no established testosterone level that reliably distinguishes those men who will respond to treatment from those who will not.
  • There is no scientific basis for withholding testosterone therapy to older adult males.
  • Testosterone therapy does not increase the risk of prostate cancer.
  • Testosterone therapy does not increase the risks of heart attacks or heart disease.
  • Testosterone therapy has benefits for cardiometabolic disease, including diabetes
While there are risks associated with testosterone therapy, these are generally related to improper dosing; these risks include acne, blood clots, hair loss, and breast development. With decades of experience in administering appropriate testosterone therapy, we encounter these side effects in our patients infrequently.
